After reading about Jovan White Musk here, I went to Walmart and purchased a body spray. Lovely, clean, florally and very womanly.......Love it.....

Then I got online to find out more about Jovan scents. One that was listed and is now driving me mad is:

Jovan Fresh Patchouli

Outdoor freshness of bright green cut grass is tickled with droplets from a watery green accord and touched with the warmth of vanilla and patchouli leaf. Matched with a tender bouquet of sunny freesia, morning jasmine, and opulent white rose. A fresh interpretation of an "Underground" classic.

There are listings for places for other scents to be found, but none for this one. Anyone know anyting about this one?

I threw the net out a few years ago about patchouli. Jovan Fresh Patchouli was one of the recommendations I received. Because it was readily sniffable, I pursued it.

I like my fragrances full bodied rather than thin, so I was not happy. However, there are some fans of this particular scent on board.

I'm not a light musk fan but... I think that if you are, Jovan Fresh Patchouli is worth sampling. It's patchouli lite. It has those "murky dead tree" limbs knocked off. Musk with a little bit of wet earth.

I have this. I think I bought it either at Walmart or in a grocery store just after Christmas - I've seen it in several drugstores. It's really inexpensive. I agree it's 'patchouli lite', not exactly exotic. I bought it because I had a bottle of a soapy, one-note rose cologne which needed something desperately to be wearable, and patchouli/rose together produce a fragrance that's really special. (for me, anyway.)

I just got into this one about a week ago!

I smell a lot of hay in it with a little bit of dirt. Not so much patchouli, although I can tell it's there. It's one of the few fragrances I have that other people seem to be able to smell on me.

My best friend wears this--it's practically her signature now. She claims it is discontinued--she bought a lot of 8 bottles on ebay and scours every Walgreens and CVS she comes across for more. On her, it seems pretty potent--almost peppery, but I'm not a fan of patchouli unless it's tempered with something else--I like Angel and Youth Dew both very much. I've been trying to find an alternative for her if she can't get Fresh Patchouli anymore. I have wondered about Molinard? She liked the Angel decant I gave her but not as much as the Jovan. She isn't the type to cough up money for anything pricey like L'Artisan--so it will probably have to be more mainstream or available on ebay for a reasonable price.

It's not discontinued... a little harder to find than some of the other Jovans, but it's definitely still around.

I have a bottle of it!

I actually recommended it on an earlier thread this year.... No-one responded, I assumed because the maker is JOVAN, and that's just not trendy, recherché, or expensive enough to qualify here.

Yes, there's nothing wrong at all with this fragrance! I get pure patchouly oil, a freshly-cut grass note, and a blackberry-like something.

It's really nice and refreshing.... especially nice for scenting sheets in the summer.
